Thank you for your interest in Homebird Helper! The goal of this business is to bring peace of mind to the residents of the CNY region, providing top quality care for homes and pets throughout.
My Story
My name is Alicia Ballard and I have been an avid pet lover my entire life. I grew up in rural St. Lawrence County, NY. My maternal grandfather had a dairy farm when I was young and my paternal grandparents had a veal farm. I grew up around cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, horses, cows.. you name it, I've probably interacted with it! I have a love for anything furry, fuzzy, feathered or scaled. I have a dog who is coming up on 11 years old, and a pair of cats who are almost 2. In addition I also have several pet mice, and a juvenile ball python.

I live in the Syracuse area with my partner and primarily work as a nanny and postpartum doula, while also providing pet care and house sitting services! My schedule is a bit all over the place, but I hope as I transition out of nanny work I can transition to full-time pet care and house sitting services!

Over the years I've been fortunate enough to have many pets, and my love of caring for them has only grown. My goal with Homebird Helper is to transition to a full-time house sitting and pet care position, as I find it so fulfilling and truly rewarding to help others have a good experience.

Homebird Helper started with a goal to provide quality pet care and house sitting services in the Central New York area. We primarily serve Syracuse and the surrounding suburbs, and are looking forward to expanding our services with full-time availability in the future.
